CASE PRESENTATION Main complaint A 27-year-old female elite swimmer presented with localized pain on the lateral aspect of the left knee, during sports practice (breaststroke swimming), especially during extension and knee rotation. She has been an elite breaststroke swimmer since adolescence. No traumatic history on left knee or other incidents were recorded related to the main complaint.
