Cardiovascular manifestations of stres in nursing Introduction: Organizational work stress associated with cardiovascular manifestations, clinical, laboratory and cabinet in nursing personnel in a tertiary hospital in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. Methods: This is an analytical observational, longitudinal study, stratified random for the measurement of organizational work-related stress in 293 nursing staff members. The Organizational Work Stress Questionnaire was applied. Laboratory tests (cytology hematology, blood chemistry, lipid profile) and Holter electrocardiographic monitoring 24 hrs, with a unit cardiovex 3-channe and Holter monitoring ambulatory blood pressure with ABPM unit 100 were performed Results: The observed cardiovascular physical symptoms were: palpitations, dizziness, fatigue, chest tightness, migraine, sweating, polyuria and hypertension. Laboratory tests of those who had stress showed changes in both haematic cytology and lipid profile. The work stress was associated with hypertension and increased heart rate and arrhythmias. In conclusion, there is a risk of increased morbidity and mortality in people with work stress.
