Resumen

Atretic cephalocele is a cystic lesion of the scalp which is discovered primary in neonates and infancy. This lesion is a regressive form of encephalocele that usually presents near the lamboid suture. Atretic cephalocele have been associated with different cerebral congenital anomalies especially venous system anomalies. In this article we want to present a case of a newborn with an atretic cephalocele with an associated persistent falcine sinus which was treated at our institution. We will review the literature about this rare lesion and its association with persistent falcine sinus.
